About this quiz
Boy bands have topped charts on both sides of the Atlantic for decades, from New Kids on the Block in the late 80s through the Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC rivalry of the late 90s to One Direction and BTS. This quiz plays a 30-second clip of a big hit from twelve of them, and you pick which band is singing.
Some are easy, some are not: Westlife, Boyzone and Take That sound closer than you'd think, and the American groups of 1998 to 2001 share producers as well as harmonies. The song's title, cover and a link to it on Apple Music appear once you answer, so you can listen to the whole thing afterwards.
